The Looking Glass module is a
graphical executive information system; a dashboard, that brings
Statistical Process Control (SPC) and buffer management to the
world of project management. The Looking Glass
presents a graphical multi-project view that allows executives to
assess at a glance the state of their multi-project system.

With this multi-project view, any busy executive can focus
the attention of his/her managers on the few troubled projects
quickly and easily. Should any project require closer scrutiny,
a single mouse click provides a graphical presentation of the time
history of the project’s status snapshots

and a run chart of the expected duration estimates. The Western Electric rules for
statistical process control, which run in the background, are also
applied to the time-ordered data series. These rules help managers
to distinguish real signals of trouble from statistical noise.

The Looking Glass is fully integrated within cc-Pulse
and requires Microsoft® Excel be installed to view the reports.

Reposition Network
|
In Version 1.0 of cc-Pulse, the 'Position
Network From' settings in the Project Control Center would only take effect when
you level the resources in planning mode.
In Release 1.1, once the buffers are
applied, the entire project can be re-positioned on the timeline using the
'Position Network From' controls. This provides far greater planning flexibility,
since planning the duration of the project can be separated from positioning the
project along the timeline.
cc-Pulse will continue to honor the
'Position Network From' settings when you level the resources in planning mode.

Product Licensing
|
|
In Release 1.1 of cc-Pulse the licensing process has been greatly simplified
to increase stability and ease of use. An Internet connection will no longer be required
to activate the software.
